Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (1830–0700) | Every third weekend required | Every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
Provide respiratory therapy services across all adult inpatient units, the Emergency Department, and intensive care units, including coverage of pediatric patients in the ED
Perform arterial blood gases (ABGs) and capillary blood gases (CBGs) in intensive care settings
Provide coverage for EKG department overnight and as needed
Assist with intubations and place laryngeal airways (King airway) during code blue situations as appropriate
Operate and manage a variety of ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP devices, high-flow therapy equipment, and other advanced respiratory equipment
Participate in a structured orientation period, including leadership-guided onboarding and floor-based orientation
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
Active State of Wisconsin Respiratory Therapy license required (or ability to obtain prior to start; licensure may take 6–8 weeks)
Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
Critical care experience required
Trauma Level 2 or Level 3 experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience operating ventilators such as Servo U, Servo I, PB840, or Hamilton T1
Familiarity with high-flow therapy systems (e.g., Vapotherm), INOmax, oscillators, cough assist devices, or similar advanced respiratory equipment
