Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Madison, WI

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Rotation | Some Holiday Coverage Required

• Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple facility locations during evening and night shifts
• Deliver both pediatric and adult respiratory care in an acute inpatient setting
• Participate in on-call rotation approximately once every six-week scheduling period
• Float to other units or areas as needed based on patient care demands
• Support neuro diagnostics functions as part of the respiratory therapy scope of practice

• Minimum of two years of experience as a staff respiratory therapist
• Pediatric and adult patient care experience required
• Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma Center or similarly sized hospital required
• Graduation from a COARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
• Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)

• Prior travel therapy experience in a large academic or Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
• Strong proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
