Key Responsibilities- Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
- Provide respiratory care for patients with respiratory disease as ordered by the physician and in accordance with department policies
- Operate with and without direct supervision, including delegated oversight of others as appropriate
- Complete all required paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and patient charges accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilize EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems for patient charting and documentation
Required Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential required
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required in California
- Registration or Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; charting system must be documented in work history
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum three years of technical respiratory therapy experience
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification
