Job Title

Travel - Registered Respiratory Therapist (6a-6:30p)

Lafayette, Indiana

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 36 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment | Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services across ICU, Med Surg, ER, and Level 3 NICU units
  • Manage and monitor ventilators, BiPAPs, Heated High Flow units, and related respiratory equipment
  • Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment including PB and Drager V500 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C transport, Oscillator, Jet, Nitric, and Bubble CPAP
  • Perform accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
  • Manage high patient acuity loads independently while supporting team members as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and/or ICU settings
  • Demonstrated Level 3 NICU skills with ability to work proficiently in that unit
  • Experience managing ventilators, BiPAPs, and Heated High Flow units
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle high patient loads and acuity
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in ICU/CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR charting
  • Self-motivated and independent with a willingness to assist during high-acuity situations
