Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Alternating Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory therapy services across all patient populations including adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in a full-service acute care hospital setting
- Operate and manage a variety of ventilators and respiratory support equipment including Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 and MR-1, V-60 BiPAP, ResMed CPAP, and Optiflow high-flow systems
- Perform and interpret blood gas analysis using Siemens RapidPoint 500e analyzers
- Deliver respiratory care in Emergency Department and Critical Care environments
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR
- Function effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative respiratory therapy team, with possible call requirements
Required Qualifications- Active North Carolina RRT License (Registry required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
- Experience in Emergency Department and Critical Care settings
- Ability to work alternating weekends and fulfill possible call requirements
- Must reside 60 miles or greater from facility to qualify as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with emphasis on ED and Critical Care
- Experience in nursery or neonatal respiratory care
- Proficiency with MetaNeb, Vest therapy, and full range of respiratory diagnostics and treatments
