Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment | Alternating Weekends Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory therapy services across all patient populations, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Operate and manage a variety of ventilators and respiratory support equipment including Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 and MR-1, V-60 BiPAP, ResMed CPAP, and Optiflow high-flow systems
- Perform and interpret blood gas analysis using Siemens RapidPoint 500e analyzers
- Deliver care across multiple care settings including the Emergency Department and Critical Care units
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR
- Function both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented department environment
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential – Registry required
- Active North Carolina RRT License
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) including alternating weekends and possible on-call requirements
- Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with background in Emergency Department and Critical Care settings
- Experience in a nursery or neonatal care environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a high-retention, team-focused department
