Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | No on-call required | Every 3rd weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
- Administer respiratory therapies including mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the medical record
- Respond to emergency situations requiring respiratory intervention
Required Qualifications- Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Iowa or compact eligibility
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts including every 3rd weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Experience with mechanical ventilation management
- ACLS certification
