Job Title

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – Nights

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer safe and competent respiratory care procedures as ordered by a physician, with emphasis in specialty areas including Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care.
  • Initiate, maintain, and monitor ventilator patients; interpret flow volume and pressure volume curves to guide appropriate clinical changes.
  • Perform arterial blood gas draws, airway management including bag/mask ventilation, and safe suctioning techniques using artificial airways.
  • Verify physician orders, maintain accurate documentation of all respiratory care procedures, and perform patient charge reconciliation.
  • Translate medication dosing for neonatal and pediatric patients using appropriate equipment and procedures based on patient size, age, and disease severity.
  • Assist in orientation and training of new employees and respiratory or nursing students during onboarding.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program with a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC.
  • BLS certification required (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • NRP certification required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
  • Minimum of one year of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with pulmonary diagnostics.
  • Experience with cardiac diagnostics including EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor, and Cardiac Stress Testing.
