Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Columbus, GA

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:30–07:00)

• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation for a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult patients and involvement with intubated pediatric patients
• Perform arterial lines, arterial blood gases, and capillary blood gases, including draws from lines
• Administer aerosol therapy and manage oxygen delivery and titration
• Conduct bedside pulmonary function tests and spirometry as needed
• Provide patient education related to respiratory care and treatment plans
• Float within the facility and to a sister campus as operationally needed

• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Active Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Trauma experience required
• Proficiency with ventilator and monitoring systems including Viasys Vela, Viasys Avea, and GE Carescape
• Experience working within Epic and Pyxis platforms

• Pulmonary function testing and spirometry experience
• Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center or NICU environment, including transport settings
• Familiarity with stroke care protocols in an interventional stroke-certified facility

• Opportunity to work in a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment that includes a Level 2 Trauma Center, interventional stroke-certified unit, and a Level 3 NICU with regional transport capabilities
