Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | 4x12 or 3x12 Hours (18:30–07:00)
Key Responsibilities- Manage non-invasive and conventional mechanical ventilation for a patient population spanning infants through geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult patients including pediatric intubated patients
- Perform aerosol therapy, oxygen management, and bedside pulmonary function testing
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases and capillary blood gases, and draw from existing lines
- Place and manage arterial lines as needed
- Provide patient education related to respiratory care and treatment plans
- Float within the facility and to a sister campus as needed
Required Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active Georgia RRT license required at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Trauma experience required
- Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea
Preferred Experience / Skills- Pulmonary function testing (spirometry) experience preferred
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, interventional stroke-certified, or Level 3 NICU environment
