Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Columbus, GA

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation for a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult patients and involvement with intubated pediatric patients
• Perform arterial line placement, arterial blood gas collection, and capillary blood gas collection
• Administer aerosol therapy and manage oxygen therapy across the care continuum
• Conduct bedside pulmonary function tests and spirometry as needed
• Provide patient education related to respiratory care and treatment plans
• Operate and monitor unit systems including ventilators and patient monitoring equipment

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Active Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license or compact equivalent at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Trauma experience required
• Ability to float within the facility and to a sister campus as needed
• Willingness to work every other weekend and required major holidays per assignment terms

• Experience with pulmonary function testing and spirometry
• Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, Viasys Vela, Viasys Avea, and GE Carescape systems
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, stroke-certified, or NICU environment
