Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights (4x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory therapy services within a pediatric hospital setting, including care for NICU and PICU patients
- Deliver age-appropriate respiratory assessments and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Monitor and manage ventilated and high-acuity pediatric patients, including neonates
- Participate in self-scheduling model and float within scope of practice as needed within the facility
- Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required; license must be in hand at time of submission
- Valid Virginia Respiratory Therapy license required (pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date and applicant holds a valid license in another state)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
- Epic electronic health records experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
- Cardiac PICU experience preferred
