Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care across multiple areas including the Emergency Department, Critical Care ICU, and medical/surgical floors
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapies
- Administer nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, and BiPAP/CPAP therapies
- Assist with bronchoscopy procedures and airway management across all patient populations including neonates and pediatrics
- Fulfill on-call requirements as needed (3 on-call shifts per 6-week period) and float within the facility as required
- Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health records system
Required Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Active North Carolina or Compact state respiratory therapy license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Experience with neonatal and pediatric patient populations required
- Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in airway management, medication administration, ABGs, oxygen therapy, suctioning, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, and CPAP
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in NICU, PICU, Pediatric ED, and/or general Pediatrics settings strongly preferred
- Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience is a plus
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting preferred
