Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care across multiple areas including the Emergency Department, Critical Care ICU, and medical/surgical floors
  • Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapies
  • Administer nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, and BiPAP/CPAP therapies
  • Assist with bronchoscopy procedures and airway management across all patient populations including neonates and pediatrics
  • Fulfill on-call requirements as needed (3 on-call shifts per 6-week period) and float within the facility as required
  • Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health records system
Required Qualifications
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and must be in hand at time of submission
  • Active North Carolina or Compact state respiratory therapy license required and must be in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
  • Experience with neonatal and pediatric patient populations required
  • Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
  • Proficiency in airway management, medication administration, ABGs, oxygen therapy, suctioning, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, and CPAP
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in NICU, PICU, Pediatric ED, and/or general Pediatrics settings strongly preferred
  • Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in a community hospital setting preferred
