Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Adult Critical Care (RRT/CRT)

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to adult critical care patients across cardiovascular and medical-surgical ICUs, step-down units, and general acute care floors
  • Manage and support patients with complex conditions including ARDS, septic shock, decompensated heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, and acute myocardial infarction
  • Operate and monitor advanced mechanical circulatory and respiratory support devices including ECMO, IABP, and Impella
  • Care for postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and complex vascular surgery patients, including heart and lung transplant and durable LVAD patients
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
  • Float as needed to adult population areas within the same facility, following consistent policies, equipment, and charting standards
Required Qualifications
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will be considered
  • Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience
  • No first-time travelers accepted for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, or other mechanical circulatory support devices
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system
  • Experience in a Magnet-designated, teaching, or Level 1 Trauma facility
