Respiratory Therapist – Adult Critical Care (RRT/CRT)

Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory therapy services to adult critical care patients across cardiovascular and medical-surgical ICUs, step-down units, and general acute care floors
- Manage and support patients with complex conditions including ARDS, septic shock, decompensated heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, and acute myocardial infarction
- Operate and monitor advanced mechanical circulatory and respiratory support devices including ECMO, IABP, and Impella
- Care for postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and complex vascular surgery patients, including heart and lung transplant and durable LVAD patients
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Float as needed to adult population areas within the same facility, following consistent policies, equipment, and charting standards
Required Qualifications- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will be considered
- Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience
- No first-time travelers accepted for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, or other mechanical circulatory support devices
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system
- Experience in a Magnet-designated, teaching, or Level 1 Trauma facility
