Key Responsibilities- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and nebulized medications to neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.
- Set up, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilators and perform associated critical care duties.
- Perform arterial punctures to obtain blood samples for gas analysis, following all safety and procedural protocols.
- Assess patient needs, tolerance, and response to treatment; reassess and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Document all pertinent data in the patient medical record and maintain thorough knowledge of electronic health record systems.
- Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to coordinate patient care and participate in performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications- Active Montana Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist Certification (NBRC).
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- American Heart Association ACLS certification (or must obtain within 3 months of hire).
- American Heart Association PALS certification (or must obtain within 3 months of hire).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or must obtain within 3 months of hire).
Preferred Experience / Skills- Certification in Neonatal-Pediatric Specialist (NBRC-NPS).
- Certification in Adult Critical Care Specialist (NBRC-ACCS).
- Experience working with patients across a broad age range including neonates, pediatric, and geriatric populations.
