Travel Respiratory Therapist – Adults

Birmingham, Alabama

Contract | Travel | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment

• Provide respiratory therapy services across the main adult inpatient areas, including ICU and non-acute units with a heavy focus on Neuro and Cardiac patient populations
• Operate and manage ventilators and respiratory equipment including Servo I ventilators, V60, Vapotherm, and RapidPoint ABG analyzers
• Document patient care and therapy interventions accurately using Cerner EMR
• Provide backup staffing support to the freestanding Emergency Room as needed
• Adhere to all respiratory therapy protocols with a commitment to not omitting therapy
• Work rotating weekend shifts, typically every third weekend with occasional every-other-weekend scheduling

• Active CRT or RRT credential required
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience at a larger facility
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong time management skills and demonstrated reliability in time and attendance
• Proficiency with standard respiratory therapy equipment including mechanical ventilators and ABG analyzers

• Prior night shift experience in a facility that staffs four or more respiratory therapists per shift
• Experience working in high-acuity environments with Neuro and Cardiac patient populations
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
