Registered Respiratory Therapist – Travel Contract (Nights)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple hospital units including ICU, ER, Nursery (Level 1), and Med/Surge floors, treating patients ranging from newborns to adults
- Attend high-risk deliveries and participate as an active member of the neonatal resuscitation team
- Manage intubation and mechanical ventilation for pediatric patients in the emergency setting
- Operate and monitor ventilators and respiratory equipment including Drager V500, Hamilton T-1, V60 BiPAP, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, Neopuff, and RAM cannula
- Float throughout all areas of the hospital as required by department needs
- Accurately document patient care and clinical data using the EPIC electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience
- Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
- Experience working in an adult ICU, emergency room with pediatric patients, and a hospital nursery/resuscitation team setting
- Proficiency with Drager V500, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, Neopuff, and EPIC documentation system
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to treat patients across the full age spectrum, newborn through adult
Preferred Experience / Skills- NICU and/or PICU experience demonstrating comfort and competency with critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients
- Familiarity with V60 BiPAP, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, and RAM cannula
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with strong communication skills and a positive, respectful attitude
