Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Inpatient Rehab night shift position at an acute care hospital in Winchester, TN, requiring a valid TN or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of hospital experience.

Details

  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at a 198-bed acute and skilled care facility in Winchester, TN
  • 12-bed acute inpatient physical rehabilitation unit serving adult and geriatric patients
  • Common diagnoses include stroke, Parkinson's, post-CABG, post-orthopedic surgery, debility, TBI, and multi-trauma
  • Patients are medically managed but stable enough to participate in 3 hours of therapy per day
  • Patient ratio averages 3–5:1
  • Equipment includes Baxter IV pump, Masimo vitals machine, Kangaroo TF pump, and bladder scanner
  • EHR system: Meditech
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekends required every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating to other units is rare

Requirements

  • Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license) required
  • ASN or BSN degree required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required prior to start
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a hospital setting required
  • Ability to manage time effectively, perform nursing skills and assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients working toward regaining strength and independence
  • A motivational and encouraging personality is a strong fit for this unit
  • Scrubs of any color are acceptable; other facility-branded attire and casual wear are not permitted
  • Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
  • Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
