Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Alternating weekend hours required
• On-call responsibilities possible
• 2 years of experience preferred, with ED and critical care background
• Experience in nursery preferred
• Must be comfortable working with full range of patient population including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as function independently
• Equipment experience required: Ventilators (Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 & MR-1), BiPAPs (V-60), ResMed CPAPs, High Flow (Optiflow), MetaNebs, Vest, and Siemens RapidPoint 500e Blood Gas Analyzers
• EHR system: Cerner
• Minimum Associate Degree in Respiratory Care required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NC RRT License (Registry required)
• Scrub color: Gray/Black preferred, any solid color accepted, no prints

Facility:

This is a Duke Lifepoint hospital with 355 beds, home to specialized centers including a Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and a Level 3 NICU. The facility features a 32-bed emergency department, 29-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, 15-bed surgical suite with imaging, and an 81-bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital on a separate campus.
