Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Austell, GA

We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Austell, GA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. Bachelor’s preferred.
• Current Georgia state license in good standing for Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC-RRT credential required upon hire.
• Certifications required upon hire: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or NRP provisional within 180 days) as listed by the client.
• 0–2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months of critical care experience required. Pediatric experience and Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Clinical skills in ventilator management, weaning, waveform interpretation, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, airway management (intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care), aerosolized medication administration, bronchial hygiene, oxygen and medical gas therapy.
• Experience participating in pulmonary diagnostic testing, assisting with invasive and non-invasive procedures, and cardiac service procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively, exercise critical thinking, establish working relationships with physicians and healthcare team members, and use electronic medical records and databases.
• Willingness to educate patients, families, students, and new staff and participate in performance improvement and evidence-based practice activities.
