Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required. License: Valid state license required. Certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP required. Must-Have: Level 4 NICU experience. Description: Cross posting for job ID. Client offer will be sent for clinical review. Nights available. Can offer 36 or 48 hours. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. Unit has a self-scheduling model. Manager will explain scheduling expectations in a call. Desired schedules are not guaranteed, but efforts will be made to accommodate. Cardiac PICU experience preferred. Working in a children's hospital setting. Pending state license submissions are allowed, provided the candidate can obtain a temporary license before starting. Candidates must have another state license to be eligible for temporary license. ACCS certification is preferred. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents. The daily census may vary based on patient flow. The Respiratory Therapist must be competent in caring for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for working in a multidisciplinary team. The Respiratory Therapist will be required to work in all units as needed. Special equipment competency is required, including the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A. Candidates should be prepared to float within their scope of practice as needed. References are required for application. Background checks will be conducted according to policy. Separation policy states that return employees may not work for more than a specified duration without a break. BSN degree is preferred.
