Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience required License: State licensure required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT, NRP preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required NICU experience preferred but not required Description: The position involves working 4x12-hour night shifts with no call requirements. Rotations will be every other or every third weekend. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must have 1 year of experience. ACLS, BLS, RRT, and state licensure are mandatory. NRP certification is preferred. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. NICU experience is preferred but not a requirement. Skills required include adult critical care, emergency department procedures, and transports. Candidates should be proficient in direct intubation, extubation, nasal airway placement and suctioning, and tracheostomy management. Experience with ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID-19, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, and medication administration is necessary. Proficiency in administering aerosol medications, utilizing nebulizers, and oxygen therapy is required. Experience in pulmonary function testing and ventilator management is preferred. Knowledge in neonatal and pediatric equipment and procedures is appreciated but not required. Attire includes ceil blue scrubs. Travelers must complete an OSHA Respirator Clearance prior to starting. Candidates must comply with fit testing requirements. Travelers may be required to complete modules before starting, which are recorded on transcripts.
