Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT PICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2-3 years, with at least 1 year in PICU or Pediatric CVICU. License: RRT credential; pending license acceptable. Certifications: BLS required; PALS preferred. Must-Have: CRT not accepted; need RRT with PICU experience. Description: We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Care Practitioner with experience in PICU. This position requires working 36 hours in a 3x12-hour shift format. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience, with at least 1 year of specialized experience in PICU or Pediatric CVICU. Travel experience is not required. Candidates must possess a valid RRT certification, and those pending their license will be considered. BLS certification is mandatory, and PALS certification is preferred. The position involves a rotation of day and night shifts depending on departmental needs, with attempts to limit consecutive changes of shifts. Specialized skills required include BiPAP, CPAP, extubation, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Additional skills preferred include intubation assistance and pediatric critical care experience.
