Description:
The position is for a Respiratory Therapist specializing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The therapist will work in both the NICU and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
This role involves providing respiratory care to neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients.
Significant responsibilities include assisting in high-risk deliveries and external transports.
The role requires proficiency in various respiratory therapies including BiPAP, high frequency oscillatory ventilation, and inhaled nitric oxide.
Knowledge in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing tracheostomy care is essential.
The position requires good teamwork and the ability to work closely with an interdisciplinary team.
Travelers with prior experience in similar units are welcome, and first-time travelers will be accepted.
Candidates may float within their scope of practice as needed.
All required modules must be completed during the orientation period.
