Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required; will accept first-time travelers with strong pediatric and NICU-focused skillset/experience. License: Must have an active license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT. Must-Have: Must have experience with all age groups. Description: The position involves providing critical care respiratory therapy. Candidates should have extensive experience in both NICU and adult settings. Strong pediatric intensive care unit experience is required. Experience in emergency rooms, level 1 trauma units, and adult intensive care settings is essential. Candidates will be expected to care for a mixed age population ranging from neonates to adults. Familiarity with high-frequency jet ventilation and oscillation is necessary. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Expectations include floating between units as needed. Weekend and holiday shifts are required according to the scheduling needs. Candidates must demonstrate competency in managing ventilated patients. Proficiency with both adult and pediatric respiratory equipment is crucial. The daily census includes approximately 40 visits, with a patient ratio of 1:12. The setting accepts higher acuity neonates needing advanced care. Specific knowledge of acute respiratory conditions is preferred. This role includes performing special procedures and emergency interventions as part of respiratory care. Candidates will provide mentorship and support to less experienced staff where applicable. Comprehensive skills in respiratory therapies and patient management protocols are essential.
