Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in NICU required, with Children's Hospital experience within the last 3 years. License: Indiana State License required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP required. PALS preferred. Must-Have: Candidates must have L&D experience as they will primarily work in L&D. Candidates must be comfortable and aware of the weekend work requirement. Candidates must have the ability to float between NICU and Pediatrics Acute Care as needed. Description: This position involves providing respiratory care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients. The role requires handling critical care situations and proficiently using respiratory equipment. Candidates will be expected to interpret arterial blood gases and manage ventilation. Experience in troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation is essential. Candidates must provide evidence of recent clinical experience. The role demands flexibility and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs and care settings. Floating between NICU and some Pediatric Acute Care areas will be required. Candidates should be prepared to work weekends as part of the schedule.
