Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Cardio/Pulmonary/Client/Sleep Disorders Duration: Night Shift Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Previous respiratory therapy experience strongly preferred. License: Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required. Certifications: RRT or CRT from the National Board for Respiratory Care required. Must-Have: BLS healthcare provider certification required. NRP certification required. Description: Reporting to the Director, this position provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services for inpatients and outpatients of all ages. Performs respiratory care procedures in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Evaluates, treats, and re-assesses patients of all ages, following physician orders. Functions independently and assists Physicians and Nursing in the determination and application of therapeutic modalities. Assists in the orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel. Participates in Code Team and Rapid Response Team. Provides patient and family education. Participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Contributes to departmental education activities. Transports patients as needed. Assists the Director with special projects and inventory control. Maintains and supports patient rights to care, privacy, and respect. Performs other duties as assigned.
