Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in respiratory care, including at least 1 year in a large Level 1 Trauma or Academic Medical Center. License: NE State License in hand preferred. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. CRT required, RRT preferred. Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience required. Epic charting experience preferred. Description: Licensing is currently taking 6-8 weeks. Guaranteed hours are subject to contract terms. No overtime until after 48 hours of work. Candidates must possess ACLS and BLS certifications. CRT certification is required, while RRT certification is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred. Out of the 3 years of experience, candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in a large Level 1 Trauma or Academic Medical Center. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Candidates must have Level 1 Trauma experience. Epic charting experience is preferred but not mandatory. This facility provides care to some of the sickest and most complex patients through a team of experts representing all major specialties and services. As a teaching hospital, patients benefit from cutting-edge research and education. Travelers must be more than 100 miles from the facility. All contracts must end on a Sunday. The facility is 100% nicotine-free. If any nicotine use is suspected, the traveler’s contract may be at risk for immediate termination. Nebraska RN licenses take 4-6 weeks to obtain. If the Nebraska RN license is not in hand at the time of submission, the start date will be adjusted to accommodate this timeline. Candidates must provide proof of licensure within 48 hours. Tracking of licenses is required. All applicants must have at least applied for the required licenses at the time of submission. Requested time off must be included at the time of submission. Any requested time off after confirmation may be denied. Medical Surgical nursing units allow for up to two weeks of requested time off. No requested time off is permitted during the first week of orientation. Travelers are required to attend a mandatory charting class. Travelers are expected to wear designated scrubs with the facility's logo. Weekend shifts will be required as outlined in the contract. Compliance documents are due by specified deadlines. Travelers must complete lab work within 48-72 hours of accepting the offer. All contracts must end on a Sunday.
