Job Title: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT PICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics. License: NC RRT in hand required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS. Must-Have: Level IV NICU experience. Experience with high frequency jet ventilator. Experience with oscillating ventilator. Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies. Description: Position is for a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience. Candidates must have at least 2 years of current experience in NICU and PICU. It is strongly preferred to have RRT certification. CRT candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis if they meet all other skill and experience requirements. Weekend shifts are required, with 6 weekends per schedule. The schedule is published in 6-week blocks. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios and electronic charting systems, specifically Epic, is required. The unit cares for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients. Strong clinical skills in various procedures and equipment are essential. The daily census for the unit is approximately 185 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes teams from several specialties and services. All candidates must have relevant certifications in hand at the time of application. Candidates must be responsive and provide necessary compliance documentation promptly.
