Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in PICU/PEDS/ADULTS ICU License: Valid Michigan Respiratory Therapy License required Certifications: ACLS (AHA) BLS (AHA) PALS (AHA) NRP (AHA) RRT (NBRC) Must-Have: PICU/PEDS/ADULTS ICU experience Willingness to work with transport at times Description: This position involves working with patients in PICU, Pediatrics, and adults in ICU. Additional responsibilities include adult floor therapy. You must be available for the full orientation week. Leader interviews will be conducted as part of the hiring process. There is no call requirement for this position. Weekend shifts will be every other weekend. The ideal candidate must have experience in PICU, Pediatrics, and adult ICU. NICU experience is preferred but not required. First-time travelers will be accepted. Assignments are based on an RVU system, averaging approximately 38 RVUs per LRT. Core numbers for nights typically include 11 LRTs. The facility has a 440-bed capacity and generally sees around 15 patients per day, based on acuity. You will be expected to perform various respiratory care procedures and support patients across different age groups, including neonates and adolescents. Experience with specialized equipment and emergency response procedures is essential. This role requires collaborative work with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
