We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Winston-Salem, NC where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current NC state license in good standing with the State License Board.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. CRT acceptable but not preferred for NICU/Peds roles.
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy critical care experience.
  • BLS certification required.
  • For Adult RT assignments: ACLS required.
  • For NICU/Pediatric RT assignments: PALS and NRP required.
  • Preferred experience with high-acuity and Level 1 trauma center environments.
  • Preferred experience with EMR: EPIC and department equipment such as Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, cough assist. For pediatrics, HFJV and HFOV experience preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Patient population: Adult ICU, NICU/Pediatrics, Medical/Surgical, ED as needed.
  • Shift: Night shift. 18:30 – 07:00.
  • Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks.
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend.
  • Holiday expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays.
  • Orientation: New employee orientation plus 1–2 days departmental orientation.
  • Floating: Assignment to units will be based on traveler experience and unit needs; not required to float beyond assigned units.
  • Department support: Lead therapists present on each shift for adult and pediatric teams.
  • Parking: Free.
  • Scrub color: Pewter (charcoal grey).
