Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 36 hours/week Experience: Minimum of 24 months of RRT/Respiratory experience in a hospital setting; NICU experience within the last 18 months; Level III NICU experience within the last 15 months; Work history must include 36 months of current RRT/Respiratory Therapy experience. License: Current Iowa Respiratory license preferred; will accept licensing candidates with a 1-3 week turnaround time. Certifications: BLS, NRP, NBRC, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience required; Equipment experience with jet ventilator, Drager Vent, and Oscillator Vent required; Must be willing to float across different units throughout the facility; All certifications must be active; No CRTs will be considered; Must have completed a travel assignment within the past 15 months; Skills checklist must be specific to Respiratory Therapy. Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. Candidates will receive a phone call or text from a local area code. The contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Experience with Drager, Jet, and Oscillator equipment is required. Candidates should be prepared to work with patients of all ages, primarily adults with NICU needs. Scrubs may be any color tops and bottoms, solid colors preferred. Professional references should include a charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, COO performance evaluation, or reference from within the last 24 months. AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross certifications for BLS and ACLS are required. NBRC certification is required. PALS and NRP certifications are also required.
