Job Title: Respiratory Care Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BCLS, RRT required Must-Have: Required NICU and/or PICU experience Experience in level 1 trauma facility preferred Description: Position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory care. First-timers are accepted for this role. Weekend work is required every other weekend. This position does not require being on-call. The clinician will not float within various scopes to meet the facility's needs. Locals and pending license candidates are not accepted. The facility is a children's acute care hospital and a teaching hospital. The total number of staffed beds is 400. Daily census averages around 320. The clinical environment includes NICU, pediatric critical care, and emergency department experience. Special skills include various aerosol setups, intubation assistance, and management of mechanical ventilation. Candidates are expected to have strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Candidates must meet specific qualifications based on the job description. Compliance with all facility policies is mandatory. References may be required. All candidates must have a valid SSN and meet any required background checks. Candidates must verify the licensing requirements based on the respective state. Documentation for certifications must be completed prior to the start date. This position may involve working with diverse patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.
