Responsibilities include the diagnostic evaluation, management, education, and rehabilitation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. This practice includes the application of technology and the use of treatment protocols across all care sites. Duties involve the application and monitoring of medical gases and environmental control systems. The role encompasses mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures. Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and hemodynamic cardiovascular support are also critical aspects of this position.
