Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,117 to $2,317 per week in Winston-Salem, NC

We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Winston-Salem, NC where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current North Carolina Respiratory Care license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. CRT acceptable but not preferred; indicate if CRT with plan to obtain RRT.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience in high-acuity environments such as ICU, trauma, or similarly high-volume centers.
• BLS and ACLS certification required prior to start.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and advanced modalities including Servo‑U/Servo‑Air, heated high-flow systems, and aerosol delivery devices (Aerogen) preferred.
• Preferred experience with The Vest, Volara, cough assist, and, when applicable for pediatric patients, HFJV and HFOV.
• Experience using EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to work rotating schedules including every-other-weekend rotation and holiday coverage expectations (traveler will work approximately 75% of holidays).

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Department: Adult Respiratory Care in an academic Level 1 trauma center with stroke and chest pain designations.
• Shift: Nights.
• Typical shift time: 18:30–07:00.
• Schedule cycle: six-week rotation.
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend.
• Holiday expectation: traveler will work approximately 75% of holidays.
• Orientation: New employee orientation plus 1–2 days departmental orientation.
• Parking: free.
• Scrub color: pewter (charcoal grey).
• Floating: assignments will be based on traveler experience and unit needs; travel candidates will be assigned appropriately and not routinely floated without placement consideration.
