Job Title: Respiratory Care Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: MO license Certifications: RRT or CRT, BLS Must-Have: Epic experience required Must have adult critical care and emergency department experience. Pediatric experience preferred. Travelers must shave for fit testing. Description: 1 year of experience is acceptable. RRT or CRT certification is required. BLS certification is required. Epic charting system experience is required. Weekends are varied but usually every 3-4 weeks. Call shifts may be required, up to 4 call shifts per 6-week schedule. Holiday and weekend rotations are expected. Charge position may be rotated into as needed. Travelers must adhere to grooming standards for fit testing. Travelers must not use their own PAPRs or CAPRs at the facility. Failure to comply with fit testing requirements will result in cancellation. Unit details: The facility cares for patients with a variety of pulmonary illnesses. Adult ICU services are provided. Care includes mechanically ventilated patients and respiratory treatments such as breathing treatments, pulmonary hygiene, and non-invasive ventilation. Special procedures may involve high-flow oxygen therapy and bubble CPAP. Infants requiring mechanical ventilation will be stabilized prior to transfer to higher-level care facilities. Preferred equipment experience includes Servo I and Hamilton devices. Preferred sleep equipment familiarity includes Respironics and RedMed. Candidates who live within 70 miles of the facility are not accepted as travelers. Comprehensive OSHA Respirator clearance is required prior to start.
