Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Registered Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years in an acute care setting, including ventilator experience License: Active Respiratory Therapist License Certifications: CRT or RRT from the NBRC, BLS Must-Have: - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy - Ability to draw arterial blood gases Description: Registered Respiratory Therapist position available for 36 hours per week, with night shifts and weekends required. The facility is a licensed bed hospital with multiple units including Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care, Emergency Department, and Labor and Delivery. The clinician to patient ratio includes 5 Respiratory Therapists on the day shift, 5 on evenings, and 4 on nights. During day shifts, there is typically 1 in charge, 2 assigned to the ICU, and 2 assigned to Med/Surg floors. Specific equipment used includes PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator. This role requires a strong background in critical care and the ability to manage various respiratory therapies effectively.
