Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 Years License: Oregon state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have: Must have experience in ventilator management (Draeger and Hamilton). Must have certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS. Must have the ability to work solo as a Respiratory Therapist in a critical access setting. Description: Position will float between various departments as needed. Weekend shifts are required approximately every other weekend. The expected patient ratio is 1:1. The therapist will be responsible for all respiratory treatments and will work independently in a critical access environment. Experience in pediatrics, adolescents, geriatrics, and community hospital settings is preferred. Knowledge and experience with respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma, and childhood diseases are required. The role involves performing procedures such as arterial punctures, intubation assistance, and ECG readings. The therapist will also engage in patient education and respiratory therapy administration. This position requires proficiency in using various respiratory equipment and technologies. Candidates must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and be adept in emergency response practices.
