We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Madison, WI where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. This role requires practice across adult and pediatric populations and functioning within a high-acuity, academic Level 1 trauma center environment.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from a COARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • NBRC - RRT required.
  • Current state license in good standing with the Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (WI RCP) required; pending WI license at time of submittal is accepted.
  • Two years minimum as a staff Respiratory Therapist required.
  • BLS certification required - AHA only.
  • Experience working in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or a hospital of similar size required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric and adult experience preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Night 3x12-Hour shift. Scheduled hours include 1900-0730.
  • Every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage required per schedule.
  • One on-call shift every six-week scheduling period.
  • Traveler option for assignment duration: 13 or 26 weeks.
