Description:
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience is required.
Candidates must comply with radius rule of 50 miles and cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facilities.
Driver's license is required for submission and will be used to verify distance eligibility.
Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care; refusal to comply may lead to termination.
Candidates will work with patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
Inpatient care covers all areas and floors.
Hospitalists or intensivists are available in-house 24/7.
A Lead Respiratory Therapist is present on each shift.
Travelers will not be the only respiratory therapist in-house.
The equipment includes Drager and Servo I for vents, Vision, V60, and V30 for BiPAPs, and Airvo2 for high flow.
Shifts are scheduled from 7 AM to 7 PM with team scheduling.
Weekend requirements are every third day for days and every other day for nights.
Holiday responsibilities will rotate with permanent staff.
Floating to different areas throughout the hospital in the RT capacity is expected.
Orientation includes three 12-hour shifts specific to the unit/department.
Key attributes for success in this role include time management skills, flexibility, adaptability, communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
Requests for time off must be submitted upfront, and additional requests will not be approved after submission.
The facility can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.
The charting system used is EPIC.
A BSN is not required for this position.
