We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Biddeford, ME where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. You will provide respiratory care across the lifespan, including newborns, children, adults, and critically ill patients. The role requires functioning as part of multidisciplinary resuscitation teams, attending high-risk deliveries when assigned, and supporting adult ICU, emergency, nursery, and med-surg areas.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
  • Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Greater than 2 years of clinical experience as an RRT, including experience in adult ICU and emergency settings.
  • Experience treating pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation.
  • Experience working in a hospital nursery and participating in resuscitation teams and attending high-risk deliveries.
  • Familiarity with ventilators and respiratory equipment: Drager V500, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, V60 BiPAP, Airvo high-flow units, neopuff, and Ram cannula.
  • Experience using EPIC or similar electronic medical records for documentation.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICU and PICU experience preferred to demonstrate competence with critically ill newborns and pediatric patients.
  • Prior experience floating across multiple hospital units.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 1900 - 0700.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
  • Weekend hours: 36.
  • Float requirement: candidate will float to all areas of the hospital.
  • Call requirements: none.
