Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience License: Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT Must-Have: Must have critical care experience to work in a high-volume emergency department, Level 1 Trauma Center. EPIC charting experience is required. Candidates must be willing to work one holiday per 13-week contract. Candidates must provide all requests for time off upfront. Description: The position requires working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for adult patients. The therapist will provide care in a high-volume, critical care environment. Skills required include aerosol and medication delivery systems such as masks and nebulizers. The therapist should be proficient in administering medications including Albuterol and Atrovent. Competence in ABG interpretation and ventilator management is essential. Airway management skills, including extubation and suctioning, are required. Experience with oxygen therapy and nebulizer setups is necessary. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The therapist must be able to float within the skillset. Ratios are 1:25 for patient care. The facility has robust protocols in place for assessing and treating respiratory conditions. The therapist will work with advanced equipment including various ventilators and delivery systems. The candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to team-based and patient-centered care.
