Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 5 years preferred, 3 years of experience will be screened. License: Must have a valid state license. Certifications: RRT, ACLS, BLS required; NRP and PALS preferred. Must-Have: Adult Critical Care experience. Emergency Department experience. Skills in intubation assist and extubation. Experience with nasal airway suctioning and oral/nasal suctioning. Competence in pulmonary hygiene. Tracheostomy care and management. Knowledge of aspiration, COVID-19, pneumonia, and respiratory medications. Ability to set up aerosol masks and handheld inhalers. Experience with BiPAP and CPAP administration. Knowledge in drawing and interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs). Competency in patient transport and assisting in high-risk deliveries. Description: This position requires a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care in critical care settings. The therapist will work nights in a 3x12-hour shift arrangement. Essential duties include assisting with intubation, extubation, and managing tracheostomies. Candidates should be comfortable with nebulization therapies and care for patients with respiratory diseases. Experience with COVID-19, pneumonia, COPD, and asthma is crucial. The position involves using various respiratory equipment, including BiPAPs and high-flow nasal cannulas. Therapists will perform chest physiotherapy and help troubleshoot equipment alarms. Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans accordingly. The candidate must be a team player and able to float to different units.
