Experience requirements often include at least one to two years of professional respiratory therapy experience, current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or similar credentials. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and compassion are essential for success in this role. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and outpatient care protocols may be required for some positions.
