Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: NBRC required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in providing quality care in a trauma center - Capability to support patients in various settings including ICUs, floors, and emergency services - Proficiency in nebulized medications and ventilation techniques - Skills in bronchopulmonary hygiene and performing arterial blood gases Description: This position is in a Level 1 Trauma Center serving a diverse population of all ages. Respiratory Therapy provides care to all patients throughout the facility. The team supports patients in multiple intensive care units, general floors, and emergency rooms. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality service through nebulized medications, non-invasive and invasive ventilation, and bronchopulmonary hygiene. Staff is also responsible for performing arterial blood gases. Shifts include a designated charge therapist and a transport/resource therapist in addition to scheduled staff. Collaboration with all other units within the facility is essential for effective team dynamics. Travelers are required to work up to six weekend shifts within a six-week scheduling period. Holiday shifts are based on department needs.
