Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2+ years License: Must hold a Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the State Board of Respiratory Care. Certifications: Must be registered through the National Board of Respiratory Care. ACLS, BLS, NRP, or PEARS (American Heart Association). Must-Have: Must be a graduate of a COARC/AARC/NBRC approved Respiratory Therapy program. Must hold current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist assists physicians in the treatment of patients with conditions affecting the cardiopulmonary system. Acts as an advanced resource person for all other staff. Functions within the scope of respiratory care established guidelines of the Board of Respiratory Care. Performs duties in a manner consistent with mission, values, and service standards. Must be able to work differing shifts. Must be able to stand or walk most of the time while on duty. Must be able to be on call during off-duty hours. Team members for this position will encounter a range of patient conditions related to the cardiopulmonary system. Successful candidates will possess a well-rounded personality fit for the demands of the role.
