Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in an acute care setting. This role involves assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with cardiopulmonary conditions while ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
The Respiratory Therapist will work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care, optimize respiratory function, and support positive clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions
Administer respiratory therapies, treatments, and life support interventions
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Ensure compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Active Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in the state of Virginia
