Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RRT License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Basic floor therapies including Nebulizer Treatment, CPT, Nocturnal Pulse Oximetry, and obtaining ABGs Bipap management skills Description: This position involves general respiratory therapy duties in a hospital setting. The unit has over 500 beds and a dedicated staff of approximately 30. There are typically six therapists on day shifts and five on night shifts. The patient ratios are manageable, with a well-equipped environment. Equipment includes EPOC Blood Gases, PB 840, Newport, ReVel, and V60. Experience in basic floor therapies is essential for candidates. Preferred skills include vent management and ICU experience. Typical procedures include HHN, CPT, Bipap and Vent management, and extubation. Floating to other units such as CICU, SICU, and MICU may be required. Scrub color attire is royal blue. Weekend shifts consist of three 12-hour rotations from 7 PM to 7 AM. There are two available positions for this role.
