Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - RRT Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NC License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, RRT Credentials Must-Have: Epic experience is required. Work setting experience required in ER, Adult ICU, Med/Surg, and ICU/Stepdown. Experience required in airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, BiPAP, CPAP, and other respiratory care procedures. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancellation. Travelers will work in a large respiratory care department. The position involves working in med/surg and ICU step-down units, potentially in the emergency department. Patient demographics include adolescents to geriatrics. Travelers will encounter a significant population of patients with respiratory conditions. Special equipment used includes Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton T1, V60, night-time VPAP, Omni-labs, and ABL90 ABG machine. The patient-to-provider ratio is approximately 35-45 patients per day. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the facility. There is a requirement for 4 weekend shifts within a 6-week timeframe. All equipment and safety protocols must be adhered to during the assignment. Candidates must work 2 out of the 3 major holidays. No RTO is allowed during the first week of the assignment. Compliance with fatigue policy is expected; travelers cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours in a week.
